Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

The short version

  • Gridwyrm does not send us any personal information, and we don't share any.
  • Your game progress is saved on your phone. While you're signed in to Google Play Games, it's also saved to your Google Play Games cloud save, which Google runs. We can't see either.
  • There are no ads, we don't use analytics, and you don't need an account with us.
  • Google Play Games may sign you in by itself when the game starts, but you don't have to be signed in to play. It collects some data for Google, which we don't receive.
  • While you're signed in, your finished runs go to Gridwyrm's leaderboards in Google Play Games, where other players see your Play Games gamer name beside them, and your achievements go to your Play Games profile.
  • Google Play handles purchases, and we never see your payment details.
  • If you email us, we use your address only to reply.

Who we are

Ozm Funhouse is an independent game studio run by Osmond Tedjasukmana, who is the person responsible for how your information is handled (the controller, in the words of the GDPR). This policy covers our Android games published on Google Play under the developer name Ozm Funhouse, currently Gridwyrm, and this website. When this policy says "we" or "us", it means Ozm Funhouse. Our postal address is under Contact and in the Impressum.

Information Gridwyrm collects

None. Gridwyrm does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information. It has no account of its own, and we don't use advertising, analytics or crash-reporting services. The game doesn't need an internet connection to play, and it doesn't send information about you or your device to us. While you're signed in to Google Play Games, your game progress is saved to Google, as described below. Purchases go through Google Play, also described below.

Gridwyrm uses Google Play Games for sign-in and the cloud save, and Google Play Games collects some data of its own for Google: your Play Games profile, such as your gamer name and avatar, and usage and diagnostic data that Google uses to keep Play Games working and to improve it. Google handles that data under the Google Privacy Policy, and we don't receive it.

Information stored on your phone

To let you pick up where you left off, Gridwyrm saves the following in its private storage on your phone:

We have no access to this data. You can delete it from your phone at any time by clearing Gridwyrm's storage in Android Settings or by uninstalling the game.

Google Play Games cloud save

While you're signed in to Google Play Games, Gridwyrm also saves your game progress to your Google Play Games cloud save, so you can pick up where you left off on another phone. That covers your expedition in progress, talents, soul shards, unlocks, run history, leaderboard and achievements. Your settings stay on each phone.

Google stores and runs the cloud save under the Google Privacy Policy, as part of your Google account. Ozm Funhouse can't see it: only Gridwyrm, on a phone where you're signed in, can read it. Gridwyrm doesn't read your Play Games profile, and nothing from the cloud save or your sign-in reaches us.

Google Play Games signs you in by itself: when Gridwyrm starts, it uses the Google account on your phone, if you have a Play Games profile and haven't turned automatic sign-in off. If you don't have a profile, Google Play Games may offer to make one.

You don't have to be signed in to play. Without it, the game works the same and saves on your phone only, and you can sign in later from the settings, behind the gear button on the game's main menu. You can turn off automatic sign-in, or sign out of games, in your Google Play Games settings, and delete Gridwyrm's cloud save there too.

Google Play Games leaderboards and achievements

While you're signed in to Google Play Games, each run you finish is sent to Gridwyrm's leaderboards in Google Play Games: how far it got, whether it was won, its ascension level, the talent levels it played with, and the soul shards it earned. Other players who open the leaderboards see that run beside your Play Games gamer name and avatar, as Google Play Games shows them. The achievements you unlock are recorded in your Google Play Games profile, where your Play Games friends can see them. Google stores and runs the leaderboards and achievements under the Google Privacy Policy; we receive none of it, and the game shows the leaderboards only while you're signed in.

Signed out, nothing is sent, and the game keeps its own leaderboard and achievements on your phone. Your Google Play Games settings control who can see your profile and gamer name, and you can delete your Play Games data for Gridwyrm there.

Android backup

If backup is turned on for your phone, Android may include Gridwyrm's save data in your device backup and restore it when you reinstall the game or set up a new phone. Google runs that backup under the Google Privacy Policy. We can't see or reach those backups. You can turn backup off in your phone's settings.

Permissions

Gridwyrm doesn't ask you to grant any permissions. It uses your phone's vibration for small buzzes during battles, which you can switch off in the settings, behind the gear button on the game's main menu.

In-app purchases

The first two acts of Gridwyrm are free. The full game isn't on sale yet; when it is, it will be unlocked with an in-app purchase made through Google Play. Google processes the payment under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Payments Privacy Notice. We never receive your card or bank details.

Google Play gives us the details we need to deliver and support your purchase, such as the order number, the item bought, the price, the date and the country of purchase. We use them only to provide the purchase, answer questions about it and meet our tax and accounting duties. To check whether you've unlocked the full game, Gridwyrm asks Google Play on your phone. That check goes through Google and sends nothing to us.

Google Play

You download Gridwyrm through Google Play. Google may collect information about your download and use of its store under its own privacy policy. Apart from the purchase details above, the only information we receive from Google Play is the anonymous, combined statistics that Google gives every developer, such as the number of installs.

Gridwyrm also asks Google Play on your phone whether a newer version of the game is out, so the main menu can offer it. To answer, Google Play uses details of your device and the version of Gridwyrm you have, under the Google Privacy Policy. That check goes through Google and sends nothing to us.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you reported. We don't sell it or share it, and we delete support emails when they're no longer needed. Email to our address passes through Cloudflare, which forwards it to the mailbox we read at Google (Gmail), without storing it.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers, and it loads nothing from other companies. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Children

Gridwyrm doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If a game changes how it handles information, for example by adding online features, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the effective date at the top of this page.
